Mr Branson said at Heathrow: "This pioneering flight will enable those of us who are serious about reducing our carbon emissions to go on developing fuels which will power our aircraft in [future] through sustainable next-generation oils, such as algae." Simultaneously, Mr Branson warned the Government that multinational companies will quit London if a third runway at Heathrow is not granted because of the gridlock and bottlenecks that will result.
